A BIT ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm a WNC native, originally from nearby Sylva and now proudly rooted in Asheville since 2014 - the same year I started Chelsea Lane Photography!

After spending years both living and exploring outside this region, my heart led me back to this sweet city that sits in the mountains. The sense of community here is unparalleled, it's no surprise that I've chosen to make it my home base once again.

I began my work-life in the Hospitality industry which is why thoughtful customer service is in my bones. I slowly made the move from working in hotels to working for myself as a photographer over 10 years ago.

As a homebody and introvert, you'll often find me in South Asheville, working, lounging on our porch and playing with our doggies. My husband and I eloped in the fall of 2013 and, ever since, we've been wholeheartedly carving out a nice little slice of life.

Are you visiting the area? My most recommended activity when visiting Asheville is to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and stop off for a hike + picnic!

 MY PHILOSOPHY

01. CHARMING +

Stripped down from all the fluff, all that's left is what matters. I want to show beauty in the ordinary, a slice of life that makes you feel something. We'll capture the standard shots and then I'll include a bit of magic in your final image collection too.

02. NATURAL +

Most clients work with me because they want natural images and to feel like themselves! I like to capture moments as they're experienced, with little to no influence from me. Instead, your images will be perfectly imperfect with an understated edit.

03. HONEST +

My hope is for my couples to let down their guard to let me capture the wedding day with care and intention. Because your wedding isn't a photo shoot or a Pinterest board, I approach the day as a documentarian more than a stylist.
